Dayton Street Day Labor Center Program Manager

Summary
Aurora Economic Opportunity Coalition (AEOC) works to establish economic equity that supports the revitalization of North Aurora by empowering long-time residents and small business owners, particularly immigrants, refugees, and people of color. 

The Program Manager at the Dayton Street Day Labor Center will undertake a variety of administrative and program management tasks, reporting directly to the Executive Director of the Aurora Economic Opportunity Coalition. The Program Director will oversee and lead operations and the management of the Dayton Street Day Labor Center building and its programming. 
Job Responsibilities:
Building Operations: Oversee and lead the operations and management of the Dayton Street Day Labor Center building. This includes: 

• Prepare and oversee the Day Labor Center, which is open to the public times of 6am - 12pm Monday through Friday. 
• Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance, including coordination with the City of Aurora when necessary.  
• Manage the Center’s schedule for both internal and external use. 
• Day Laborer Programming: Oversee and lead the programming of the Day Labor Center. This includes: 
• Maintain the integrity and safety of all users of the building, including day labor members, employees, visitors and supporters.  
• Design and supervise day labor job placement programs. 
• Manage all systems and any contracted personnel needed for wage theft cases. 
• Create and implement a leadership development program for the Day Labor members.
• Recruit and collaborate with potential employers in the hiring process. 
• Promote the programs of the Day Labor Center through media, social media and other appropriate forums. 
• Maintain all necessary financial records and receipts for all expenses, including,  but not limited to, payments to day laborers and any utilization of petty cash. 
• Ensure that all needed data is kept and entered into the case management system.  
• Assist the Executive Director in the research and development of a social enterprise.  

Colfax Cleanup Program: Oversee and lead the programming of the community beautification program. This includes:

• Oversee the Colfax cleanup program to align with requirements and standards of  the City of Aurora. 
• Maintain and track the program budget, expenditures, and other transactions.
• Build positive relationships within the program and with East Colfax businesses.
• Schedule and organize all program training sessions, meetings, and other events.
• Order and allocate necessary supplies and materials for all programming.
• Maintain updated records and prepare reports, when necessary.
Professional Qualifications:
This position is a full-time position. This position requires staff to be onsite from 6am - 1pm Monday- Friday. Compensation is $55,000 - $65,000 annually. The salary will be commensurate with experience and relevant qualifications. Additional benefits include paid vacation and sick leave and health insurance.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited college/university
• 3+ years of work experience as a program coordinator or other position with similar responsibilities.
• Fluency in Spanish
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Proficiency in Google Suite
• Ability to work within a diverse environment.
• Strong management and organizational skills.
Hours, Benefits and Compensation
